The RCOT Specialist Section – Housing are excited to announce that the conference program is complete, the dates are set and you are all invited to attend. This year’s conference will inspire you about new developments and practice issues and allow you time to network with colleagues. This is your two days to develop your knowledge and build lasting professional relationships.

They have a variety of speakers, including Cate Pemble from Stirling University talking about dementia design, and advanced occupational therapists Karen Telford and Dolores McFadden discussing design for people with functional neurological disorder. Jordan Whitehouse Neal will also explore quality of life and sustainable housing.

Rachell Russell and Paul Smith from the organisation Foundations will be exploring the Disabled Facilities Grant and looking at designing for behaviours of concern, plus much more.

The event will be hosted by vice-chair of RCOT SS Housing Kate Sheehan, and there will also be a four nation round up about what housing occupational therapy (HOT) is, and how they are influencing policy.

It’s very cost effective CPD with many opportunitie to network with fellow occupational therapists and housing experts and will leave you buzzing with excitement about housing occupational therapy.
